There were soooo many big boys in our pool....They were loud and rough!!  Our poor "Shock Rocker" didn't make it through the night!  But they all had a good time.  and they loved the spaghetti dinner, and they were all very polite

Updating Nora

Hi Nora,

Here are a few pictures of what we have been doing since you left.  Our lives are filled with soccer and football right now.  Practices and practices.  The picture above are the lights on the soccer field being turned on for the first time.  You helped with this, so I thought you needed to see them turned on....Quite a few people turned out for the "big event" and the kids played under the lights while they lined the field.

Fantasy Farm Horse Show 2008

Everyone said you left one day too soon...

Here we are at the show before the rain came. This is Bree in the bareback class with all the big girls. she took 5th in this class, which is awesome because she has never rode a bareback class before. Bree is the second one in (in the pink shirt) behind Perfixa's head.

This is Haley dunking for apples. The girls had to ride their horse down to the bucket get an apple out of the water and grab their horse and run off. All timed of course so they had to go as fast as they could!

Look how cute Kennedy is in her lead-line class, Cari is giving her the blue ribbon.

Here is Bree dunking for apples. She didn't get too wet, the trick is to try to grab a stem!! She was a big helper with the real little kids.

Bree had a very successful show!!! Look at all the colorful ribbons!! And she ended the show with the big red "Reserve Champion Ribbon" she hung all her ribbons on Cocoa's stall.

Bree and Cocoa in the showmanship class, she looked good in this class!! I couldn't take any pictures of her in her English classes because by the time she was up, it was raining and the barn was so dusty, you wouldn't have been able to see her through the haze. The outdoor pictures always look so much better anyway. Except she wouldn't put her show cloths on.. :(

Nobody was able to ride Brazen because he could barely walk, we don't know what is wrong with him. It was really sad to watch him. They were giving him more medicine as we were leaving and I think Cari will probably call the vet in the morning.

The day was very much fun, if only the rain would have held off 2 more hours. We were so dusty from being in the barn instead of the outdoor arena. Oh well, everyone had a great time. Everyone asked about you, wondering if you left and made it home safely. Of course I assumed you did, but I didn't hear from you.

Darren just got home and, of course, was curious about everything, he looks forward to talking with you tomorrow.

Detroit Lions/Ford Field

As Nora is packing her bags, I decided to put last night on the blog. Darren took Nora, Blake and Ben to the Detroit Lions Game at Ford Field in Detroit. Nora really doesn't understand the concept of football. but with these teachers, she enjoyed herself.

We had a "until we see you again" party for Nora. So that everyone could wish her happy and safe travels back to Germany. I can't believe my 6 weeks with Nora is almost over. It makes me sad. I will miss Nora so much.

Uncle Tom brought his 1965 Ford Mustang to give Nora a ride. It was actually the first time I saw it. What a beauty!! Nora says you could hear the special sound of the old engine and it was a special thing. She enjoyed this very much and I think Uncle Tom did too. :) :)

More Freesoil Family Reunion-Więcej Freesoil Zjazdu Rodzinnego

Almost our whole family...My Grandma Genevieve Rajewski is in the middle, her children are seated along side of her and the rest of us are surrounding them. We try to get everyone together once a year. This just happened to be Nora's lucky year; we celebrated 40 years of owning the property in Freesoil. It is my most favorite place, although, I don't get there as often as I would like. We play games, swim, kayak, canoe, visit, have bonfires, prepare food and eat. It is so fun to have everyone together, I always realize what a wonderful family I have and how blessed we all are to have each other.

Prawie nasz cały family...Moja Babcia Genevieve Rajewski jest w środku, jej dzieci siedzą naprzód stronę jej i reszta nas otaczają ich. Próbujemy zebrać każdy raz na rok. To właśnie zdarzyło się być szczęśliwy rok Nory; celebrowaliśmy 40 lat posiadania własności we Freesoil. To jest moje najbardziej ulubione miejsce, chociaż, nie dostaję się tam ilekroć chciałbym. Gramy gry, pływanie, kajak, kajak, bywamy, mamy ogniska, przygotowujemy żywność i jemy. Here is Nora, Mallory, Madi, Blake and me getting ready to kayak down the river. We go from our property to my Uncle Buddy's (Grandma R.'s brother) property, it takes about an hour. It was great fun!! Nora tipped over and blamed it on Blake, Blake tipped over and blamed it on my brother Paul. We had a lot of laughs and splashing.

The sand dunes along Silver Lake and Lake Michigan are some of the most beautiful dunes. In Silver Lake you can ride in these dune buggies for a tour. The driver let Nora sit in the driver's seat to have this picture taken. The ride was very fun.

Wydmy piaszczyste naprzód Srebrne Jezioro i Jeziora Michigan są kilka z najbardziej pięknych wydm. W Srebrnym Jeziorze możesz pojechać w tych wózkach wydmy dla objazdu. Kierowca niech pozwoli Norze usiąść w siedzeniu kierowcy by kazać ten zdjęcie wzięty. Jazda była bardzo zabawa.

My family in Lake Michigan, the water isn't really warm but it was warmer than any water we have been in on this summer adventure!
